The Group will present its solutions in Verona from 25th to 28th September, at the most important event dedicated to the stone industry.
The companies operating in the stone and natural stone sector need systems designed with special attention to the specific features of the products – very heavy but also delicate and fragile materials requiring safe handling and storage – to space optimization together with operator safety, efficient logistics integrated with the production chain.
This year, from 25th to 28th September, Ferretto Group will once again join the stone industry’s key players at Marmomac in Verona (Hall 2 - Stand B2) to present its products, which are the result of many years of experience in the storage and handling of large-format units. Reference and product videos projected on a led wall will enable visitors to "enter" the systems virtually.
"For some time now, we have specialized in the storage and handling of metal bars and slabs" explains Riccardo Ferretto, CEO of Ferretto Group. "When it comes to the storage and handling of marble and natural stones, companies ask for solutions that combine efficiency and extreme care for materialswhile at the same time guaranteeing maximum safety in the work environment: from handling systems to gripping systems, to the space intended for storage, everything must be designed keeping in mind the very nature of the materials. That is why we do not offer standard solutions, rather our systems are always designed according to the customer’s needs”.
At Marmomac, Ferretto Group will present its line of automated stacker crane storage and retrieval systems. With these systems, the materials are moved by means of stacker cranes that run on a rail, with different possible configurations. Together with space optimization, the added value of these systems is their flexibility: the materials are handled and stored using trays, trestles or even without supports, depending on the characteristics and requirements of each individual product. Slabs can also be positioned vertically, horizontally or in mixed configurations both inside and outside the storage system. Finally, the stacker cranes are equipped with gripping systems such as telescopic forks, dragging systems, or shuttles for the storage and retrieval of the trays. These fully automated systems guarantee maximum operator safety and reduce the risks related to the size and weight of the load units handled. Like all the other products, this solution is designed and built within the Group, based on the customer's requirements.
