Automatic storage systems win over the pharmaceutical sector. Jadran Galsenski Laboratorij, a significant player in the Croatian pharmaceutical industry, chose the Ferretto Group to construct its new storage system for finished products ready for shipment. This is the second storage system that the Ferretto Group has built for JGL: the first, also an automatic system, was installed in 2015 to meet the storage needs related to the production process. The new self-supporting automatic storage system, ready by the end of 2021, will be equipped with 2 satellite stacker cranes and will guarantee a controlled temperature in the range of 15°C to 25°C. The system will be 22.5 meters high with a storage area of 3,000 square meters and a total capacity of 15,500 pallets. The project was conceived with the possibility of connecting the two storage systems through an internal shuttle system in order to ensure maximum efficiency and integration with the JGL logistics system. Jadran Galsenski Laboratorij was founded in 1991 as the first fully private pharmaceutical joint stock company in Croatia. JGL operates internationally with 160 brands and 460 products in particular eye drops and washes as well as liquid solutions and drops for ears and nose.
