Objectives:
  • Optimize the storage of boxes adapting the shelving components to the different load unit sizes.
  • Achieve an efficient load unit search and picking speed, reducing costs and picking times
  • Achieve elevated versatility of use while maintaining maximum storage density
  • Increase the speed and dynamic nature of storage activities through the use of forklifts operating on induction guides
Solution:
  • APR 12 racking system with different load levels, realized with mesh panels and intermediate supports
  • DIMAX light shelving with 11 load levels. The solution is designed to maximize the use of the space available.
Technical features:
  • Load units: Pallets and small parts of various seizes
  • Storage system served by manned pickers and forklift
  • 5.800 m2 in picking area
  • 3.000 m2 light shelving
Added value:
  • The design of the storage facility took into consideration the customer's needs and optimized the use of the available space thereby ensuring significant storage capacity, thanks to the modularity of the shelving and the characteristics of the APR12 and DIMAX racking solution enabled to reach the objectives established with the customer in the design phase
  • The wide range of proposals (racking, vertical and automated storage systems), will allow the customer to move, in the future, to a further warehouse optimization, using the Ferretto Group solution
